| alright, the banner thats at the top of this page, as of 4/14/07, the one of the white buildings that are blue domed and are strung out across a cliff above water, thats basically a copy of a picture that i took in Santorini, Greece. almost an exact copy actually. needless to say, ive been there and would go back in HALF a heart beat..... oh, and its better than paris. | | |
| July 4th weekend at the ranch... and the lake... probly goin up saturday, water skiing a little, some wake boarding, and sleepin A LOT! we'll set off some fireworks and Ill be able to let the pyro in me go crazy . bought Eurotrip and Anchorman last night, still havent seen anchorman... at any rate, sry vares and paul, rice and trey, yah i know i said all that about goin up to the ranch, but not this weekend guys, hopefully b4 school though . later | | |
| so yah, more ranting here... first day of summer school today...dear god.... i dont know how anyone would be able to stand that kind of class for an entire year! the teacher is an idiot that has to repeat and reexplain everything at least five times and in five different ways, watered down so much that a cockroach would actually be able to learn something other than the accompaning noises that come with the boston tea party and the whole of the french and american revolutions! ahhhhhh!!! i just had an entire week's worth of time crammed into a single day and im about ready to kill!!! im more than confident at this stage that by friday I'm gonna have inopperable brain cancer from this class!
on a lighter note, ran in Tyler and Stina today at chipotle - great to see some familiar faces. i havent seen them in so long! and havent talked in longer... kinda sad actually, i had to have so many things explained... oh well, in that short hour or whatever, i think i learned more than in five at SS
| the worst part about living in this town is how boring it is during summer break. seriously, i can get over the total lack of scenery, landscape, or any viable source of culture, but COME ON! you can either get a job, walk around aimlessly in an oversized mall, or shell out cash to see a movie - none of them very appealing, so what do we resort to doing? sitting on our asses and waiting for something to come up, like what actually happened during the school year...
oh yeah, that whole must-be-at-least-21-years-of-age mandated by our beloved and obviously vastly more competent government is getting on my goddamn nerves! shit, in NZ all I had to do was not shave for 3 days and suddenly i was of age to buy anything i wanted.... cocktails, beer, smirnoff, vodka cruisers, margs...
you know, before leaving i had the curious habit of humoring the thought that i wouldnt actually be coming back, that i would actually be able to start again in a new place; this time in the know, so that i wouldnt have to live with all the baggage that comes with learning from life - reputations that everybody knows except the person they're about, memories that cause pain or embarassment even in your own solitude, and of course those special people in the history of our live's that lead us from our cave - just before shoving us off the edge into a pit where the goddamn surface is beyond the vanishing point... damn, why didnt i stay there? seriously whats there for me here anymore? a couple of goodbyes, a couple of letters written for when goodbyes were to hard, and then i could be away for good - and this would all just be a shadow, another shadow in the night...
| its a hundred and nine degrees in the shade, no breeze wutsoever, and the humidity is over 65 percent..... damn I love Texas . been back almost a week and my clock's still off (the first day back i was up for over 36 hours b/c of jetlag and shit, and when i finally did to sleep i set a new personal record - 14 hours straight asleep... then went to go see a movie and had an icee and popcorn for breakfast (this is all at abour 7:30ish in the evening) so anyways...yah.... my cell is fucked so if anyone calls me I may or maynot get it...TGIS | | |
